Holiday Prep!

Holiday Prep!

Where did this fall go?! I woke up this morning to our first snowfall and while my kids are squealing (literally) with delight, I can’t help but think oh boy here comes winter and a very busy holiday season! So in an effort to get myself organized, I decided to write up a list of assorted winter and holiday finds that will make this busy and cold time of year fun, festive, and full of joy!

Top of mind after the first snowfall: The Perfect Snow Gear for Kids ft. Northern Classics

As we live in Michigan the cold and snow are just a part of life, and with three little kids, staying inside for half the year is simply not an option. So I look for the best snow/cold weather gear possible. If my kids are warm and comfy they will play outside way longer and we will all be happier and healthier! I cannot recommend Northern Classics gear enough! It was started by a friend of mine here in Michigan who is a mom of four, and no detail is overlooked. We have been using the whole setup from snow pants, coats, hats, and mittens for two years now. Not only does it hold up well but my kids have never (seriously not even once) complained about being cold when wearing their Northern Classics gear…if that is not worth its weight in winter gold I don’t know what is! Pro tip: It says you should hang it to dry but I have found throwing it in the dryer on low is totally fine ;)

Festive Wear for my kiddos ft. Duffield Lane Sweaters!

We just launched our holiday collection and while I love it all I am most excited about the new kid's holiday sweaters!! They are made in the softest 100% cotton and they feel amazing. They are also washable so I don’t need to worry about spills and messes that are inevitable from all the fun holiday baking and crafts. The best part is my girls love wearing them! So there are zero arguments about getting dressed in our festive outfits for the holiday events!

Cozy Feet!

I struggle with feeling cold ALL the time, so this year I decided to take all the measures to be comfy-cozy all season long. My biggest issue is cold feet so I decided to splurge and invest in multiple cozy options for every occasion:

Cozy Slippers - I have not complained of cold feet once (a big deal for me) at home after buying these

My favorite sneakers - now made cozy: enter the winter Vejas! I have been wearing these on repeat.

Effortless Entertaining

I love to entertain but at this stage in life, the prep and planning can be a lot. I am dying to try the themed Boarderie boards. They look so cute! How fun would this board be at a holiday wine party with your girlfriends?!

Speaking of entertaining, Duffield Lane has the BEST new styles in our Dress Up Edit!

There is so much to love, the top of my list is the Myka Midi Dress in stretch satin. It is stunning, and I love that while it looks so festive and polished it is also incredibly comfortable, stretchy, and washable. I will for sure be wearing this at our holiday party.
