THE TRAVEL GUIDE

ANN ARBOR, MI

If you only have a day in Ann Arbor, there’s plenty to fit in, from favorite local restaurants and shops to a walk through campus and a little maize-and-blue tradition.

THE LOOK

Classic, collegiate, and made for a day on the go. Think easy layers, polished dresses, and plenty of navy for a look that feels right at home in Ann Arbor.

TO EAT

Ann Arbor is the kind of place where you could plan an entire day around what you’re eating next. Start with the handmade pastas and wood-fired favorites at Mani Osteria, then make your way to Zingerman’s Deli for one of the sandwiches that has made it an Ann Arbor institution. Come hungry, because neither is a stop we would rush.

TO EXPERIENCE

A day in Ann Arbor calls for a little bit of everything that makes the city feel like itself. Take in the energy of The Big House, wander the farmers market for a taste of what’s local, and make time for UMMA when you’re ready to slow things down and take in a little art. It’s the perfect mix of campus tradition, local charm, and culture, all within one very walkable day.

TO SAVOR

Save a little room for the stops meant to be enjoyed slowly. Pick out a few beautifully made chocolates from Bon Bon Bon, then settle in for a glass at Spencer, one of those places that feels just right after a full day of exploring. A sweet treat, a good pour, and nowhere else you need to be for a while.

TO REMEMBER

Before there was Duffield Lane, there was time spent in Ann Arbor. Jamie came to Michigan for law school, left with a few favorite places and, more importantly, her future husband. Coming back all these years later with the DL team (and a collection in tow) made this trip feel especially full circle.
